Why the extent of the operation matters most
A deep plane facelift limited to the lower face is a different operation from one extended into the neck with platysmaplasty and subplatysmal work. Adding eyelid surgery, a brow lift, fat grafting, or laser resurfacing lengthens the time in the operating room, which raises anesthesia and facility charges as well as the surgeon fee.
